Prenn Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall located in the remaining primeval forest in Da Lat at the foot of Prenn Pass, the gateway to Da Lat city. Prenn Waterfall originates from Prenn Stream in the area of Hung Vuong Street, Da Lat, flows through Prenn Pass until it meets a fracture in the granite bed, forming a waterfall. Prenn waterfall is more than 10m high and 20m wide, pouring down from Prenn waterfall through undulating rapids. From above, Prenn waterfall falls like a beautiful white silk strip. Perhaps that is why Prenn waterfall is also called Tien Sa waterfall. Besides, the pine forest at the foot of the waterfall whispers all year round, bringing with it stories about the peaceful land.

According to the K'ho ethnic village elders here, at first, the waterfall was called Liang Tarding, near Pren village. Later, the locals called it Prenn, meaning "bitter eggplant". This type of eggplant is found in abundance in the upstream area of Prenn waterfall, and is often picked as daily food. 

In some other explanations, Prenn means "encroached area". This originated from the persistent war that occurred in the 17th century between the indigenous people here: Lat, Chil, Sre, Ma... against the Western advance of the Cham people. In 1998, Prenn Waterfall was ranked as a National Scenic Monument and is always on the list of 5 beautiful waterfalls with many interesting legends of Vietnam.

The waterfall is 30m high and about 20m wide. To access the waterfall, visitors must cross a short bridge across the stream that has been protected by concrete to avoid erosion. The path down to the waterfall is beautiful with stone steps hugging the hillside arranged in a reasonable manner; Visitors will see a curtain of water falling from a height into a small valley that has been transformed into a flower garden, from here there are many beautiful paths leading up to the surrounding airy hills. The sound of the pine trees blends with the sound of the waterfall. like the music of an endless epic. 

Previously, Prenn waterfall was also a resting place for King Bao Dai and Ngo Dinh Nhu while hunting and receiving tribes in this plateau. In the years before and after 1970, there were very few tourists. Come visit and enjoy the scenery at Prenn waterfall tourist area. Because of the war and rumors of elephants and tigers breaking out of their cages and returning to the forest, no one dares to visit the beautiful scenery of the mountains and forests here. By 1978, the Prenn waterfall landscape was restored to welcome tourists to have fun.

Of which, pine forests and primary forests account for 90% of area, renovated and built many works for tourism such as sightseeing, resorts, beaches on the plateau...
